Shooting people

I shoot my portraits either at your home or a location of your choice. I travel with a full complement of portable lighting & equipment so that I can shoot inside or outside depending on what kind of image you prefer.

The studio 'look' is shot inside with the aid of studio lighting, with your loved ones taking centre stage & doing their thing to camera (usually shot in front of a grey background).

The outside 'look' is achieved when the sitter is occupied doing something that they enjoy doing. So if the subject likes playing football or going to the swings, then that is generally a good starting point.

A typical session usually lasts about 90 mins & during this time I shoot a variety of poses so that we end up with about 100 images. These can then be viewed on the 'photo shoots' page on this website usually within 24 hours (your child's images will be password protected).

The photo shoot is free & there is not obligation or pressure to buy anything. Although you may find it difficult to resist when you see them!

I hold a current CRB disclosure certificate.
